Comment This type of scribal epigram, 'Θεοῦ τὸ δῶρον καὶ πόνος <name of the scribe>', is a typical feature of manuscripts which were written in the Hodegon Monastery at Constantinople; Turyn (1980: 132), Gamillscheg (1995: 420). Gamillscheg (1995: 420) supposes this type of scribal epigram is found in manuscripts since the twelfth century, although there are manuscripts with this formula which date as early as the eleventh century.
