Palaeographical information Wilson (2001: 268) remarks of the handwriting of the manuscript: "Written by one scribe in a rather large hand, consistent in appearance despite the arthritis of which he complains in the colophon. ... Standard brown ink, with carmine for titles and initials of simple pen ornament."
Contextual information The epigram is written on f. 181r, which is the recto side of the last folio of the manuscript. It is followed by the phrase 'γράψας εἶπον, δόξα σοι ὁ θεός'.
On the verso side of this same folio, Wilson (2001: 270) has identified "prayers and pen-trials by more than one hand".
