Palaeographical information | Wilson (2001: 268) remarks of the handwriting of the manuscript: "Written by one scribe in a rather large hand, consistent in appearance despite the arthritis of which he complains in the colophon. ... Standard brown ink, with carmine for titles and initials of simple pen ornament." |
Contextual information | The epigram is written on f. 181r, which is the recto side of the last folio of the manuscript. It is followed by the phrase 'γράψας εἶπον, δόξα σοι ὁ θεός'. On the verso side of this same folio, Wilson (2001: 270) has identified "prayers and pen-trials by more than one hand". |
