|Manuscript||WISBECH - Peckover House 196 (4.4.1949) [12th c.]|
|Place in Manuscript||f. 181r|
|Palaeographical information||Wilson (2001: 268) remarks of the handwriting of the manuscript: "Written by one scribe in a rather large hand, consistent in appearance despite the arthritis of which he complains in the colophon. ... Standard brown ink, with carmine for titles and initials of simple pen ornament."|
|Contextual information||The epigram is written on f. 181r, which is the recto side of the last folio of the manuscript. It is followed by the phrase 'γράψας εἶπον, δόξα σοι ὁ θεός'.
On the verso side of this same folio, Wilson (2001: 270) has identified "prayers and pen-trials by more than one hand".
|Comment||This colophon recalls the typical features and imagery of many Psalter epigrams, but it accompanies Theodore Stoudites' Parva catechesis.|
