Two manuscripts (London, British Library, Add. 19352 and Sinai, Monè tès Hag. Aikaterinès, gr. 259) contain a slightly different version of this epigram, reading ὄλεθρος instead of πόντωσις.
The verse is also preserved in Par. gr. 1630 (f. 221bisv), where it does not function as a book epigram.
