Comment Martini-Bassi (1906: 682-685): '592 (O 94 sup.) (...) 35v + ὥσπερ ξένοι χαίροντες nec plura; item f. 38v ὥσπερ nec plura'.

Treu (1977: 474): 'AP 5.169 and Epiktetos, Fragm. III p. 104 Schweigh.: "ὡς ἡδὺ τὴν θάλατταν ἀπὸ γῆς ὁρᾶν, οὕτως ἡδὺ τῷ σωσθέντι μεμνῆσθαι τῶν πόνων" might have been a source of inspiration.'.

Cf. Speck (1968: 117).

Treu (1977: 475): 'Weiter hilft uns die lateinische Parallele. Eine 625 in Luxeuil geschriebene Augustin-Handschrift gibt in einem langen Kolophon unter anderen Versen als diesen: ut nauta gaudet litore post pontum evectus / ita et scriba novissimum versum sulcatum.'.

Treu (1977: 476): 'makes clear that this type is made a standard since 1000.'.

The first verse also occurs in ms. Sofia, Cărkovno-istoričeski i archiven institut 829 (f. 192v), where it is written down by a 16th-century or even later hand (Getov 2014: 120).
