Contextual information This poem is the second in a series of four epigrams: 1) 'Εὐαγγελιστῶν τοὺς θεοπνεύστους λόγους', 3) 'ἐγὼ δὲ βίβλ(ον θεηγ)όρων ῥημάτων' and 4) 'ἡ τῶν μαθητῶν τετρασύνδετος βίβλος'; the first two are written together, without distinction.
The series is concluded by a short colophon in prose, indicating the date of the ms.
