Comment | Verses 1-11 are composed in the dodecasyllabic metre, featuring an expanded and elaborated variant of the 'Ὥσπερ ξένοι' type (cf. i.a. Type 2628). Verses 12-13 follow in hexameter, introducing the scribe Nikolaos. Verses 14-17 reintroduce the dodecasyllables, followed by verses 18-22, which alternate between dodecasyllable and political verse, and contain the date inscription. |
