	Ἀφεὶς ὦ πρόκλε σοὺς ἀποκρήμνους λόγους
	καὶ τοὺς σφαιρικοὺς οὕς τρέχεις, ἀναδρόμους,
	ἐν οἷς κ(αὶ) μούσας δεικνύεις σφαιροδρόμ(ους),
	κάτελθε μικρὸν κ(αὶ) ταπεινά μοι γράφε·
	μήπ(ως) αἱ κυλίστραι σε τ(ῆς) σφαίρας κάτω,
	ῥίψωσιν εἰς γῆν κ(αὶ) ῥαγῆς παραυτίκα
	ὀλισθηρὸς γ(ὰρ) σφαιρικὸς σύμπας δρόμος·
	εἰ δ᾽ οὐ θέλεις ἄν(θρωπ)ε προσδραμοῦ κάτω,
	πρόκυπτε τῶν σῶν κἂν βραχύ σφαιρωμάτων·
	καὶ τῶν ταπεινῶν ἡμεδαπῶν ῥημάτων,
	τὴν ἀσκραικὴν βίβλον ἐξηγουμένων,
	ἄκουε μικρὸν ἐν τέλει γεγραμμένων: +
