	Ἱεροθέου μονάζοντος, εἰς τ(ὸν) κλήμακα πρόγραμμα.

	Ἄριστα πάντα κ(αὶ) θεόπνευστα λίαν,
	τὰ συγγράμματα π(ατέ)ρων\| τ(ῶν) ὁσί(ων).
	τοῦδέ γε θείου τὸ παρ(ὸν) ἰω(άνν)ου,
	πόνημα (καὶ) μάλιστα δι\|αφερόντος,
	ὅτι καλίστ(ως) (καὶ) εὐκριν(ῶς) ἐν τούτω,
	ἐξαποπλέκει\| πλεκτάνας παθημάτ(ων)·
	εἴκειν δ’ εὐφυῶς, τῶ λόγῳ ἡφυ\|γήται·
	σκεῶν δ’ ἐνοιῶν (καὶ) σκοτιν(ῶν) πν(ευμάτ)ων,
	ποιῆ τιλαυγῶς δι\|ἀκρίνειν τ(ὴν) πλάν(ην)·
	τίς δ’ οὔτ(ως) εἰρμ(ὸν) ἣ σύνθεσ(ιν) ἣ τάξιν,
	ἀρετὴς ἐκ\|δέδωκ(εν) ὤσπερ ἐκείνο(ς).
	ταύτ(ην) τευχάνας οἰὡνεὶ (καὶ) συστήσας,
	ὥσπέρ\| τινα κλήμακα τοὺς ἐλομέν(ους),
	εἱς ὕψος ἀνάγουσαν θεολογί(ας),
	θεορί(ας) τε τῆς ἀκτή\|στου (καὶ) θεί(ας)
	(καὶ) μακαρί(ας) ζωαρχικὴς τριάδος.
	ἣν ηλικρινῶς σέβειμ(εν) εἱς \| αἰῶνας+
