Στίχοι εἰς τὸν μέγαν φωστῆρα καὶ διδάσκαλον τῆς ἐκκλησί(ας), | τὸν χρυσόστομον:
 
Ὦ τοῦ λόγου θάλασσα μὴ μετρουμένη·
Εἰς ἀχανὲς φθάνουσα τῆς γραφῆς πλάτος·
Καὶ νῦν χεθεῖσα μέχρι καὶ ψαλμῶν βάθους·
Πληροῦσα πάντα καὶ μέχρι πυθμένος·
Θεωρίας τε τοῦς ἀποκρύφους τόπους·
αίνουσα λευκοὺς ἐν βυθῷ καὶ μαργάρους·
τῷ διαφανεῖ τῆς σαφηνεί(ας) λόγῳ·
πίνοιμί σους θάλασσα τὸ γλυκὺ χῦμα:
κἂν ἐκφλέγης τὸ δίψος, οὐχὶ σβεννύης,
πόθῳ ζέοντι σῶν λογογραφημ(ά)τ(ων)·
