Palaeographical information Written in one column, pentameters indented. Light-brown ink, as the one used for the pinax copied below the epigram (and for other texts on ff. 1r and 4r), much lighter than the one used for the main text. Humanistic hand of Bernardino Donato, responsible for the transcription of the whole manuscript.
Contextual information The epigram is copied on the verso of the last of the front flyleaves, in the middle of its upper part. The epigram is immediately followed by the pinax of the first book of the Almagest. The main text, i.e. the Almagest, begins on the top of the next recto.
