Comment Bouwman's 2025 inventory retains the attribution to the 10th century proposed by Molhuysen in 1910. The 14th-century dating, apparently correct, has been proposed by Vitrac. According to a private communication of Inmaculada Pérez Martín, as reported by Vitrac, the manuscript was copied by two hands including that of George Galesiotes.

Even though it cannot be taken for granted, according to a late 14th- or 15th-century Latin note on fol. 351r, the book belonged to an 'emperor Kantakouzenos', apparently meaning John VI (1292-1383): Iste lib(er) est Ptolemei ast(ro)nomic(orum) cui(us) libri possessor est d(omi)n(u)s imp(er)ator Cantacuzen(us).
Occurrences f. 5*v [37290] οἶδ’ ὅτι θνητὸς ἐγὼ καὶ ἐφάμερος· ἀλλ’ ὅταν ἄστρων [14th c.]
