Palaeographical information Written in the right margin. The scholium is preceded by a signe-de-renvoi, which links it to the word 'ἱππῆς' in the main text (Thuc. 1.63.2), as well as the word 'τροπαῖον' (Thuc. 1.63.3). There is no clear separation between this epigram and the following poem (occurrence 31257), so they could be considered as a single poem (cf. Bértola 2022: 341, n. 17).
Contextual information The epigram accompanies Thucydides' Histories 1.63.2, where the original reading 'ἱππῆς' was corrected into the normalized 'ἱππεῖς'. It is followed by another verse scholium, inc. 'Καὶ τὸ τροπαῖον μὴ τρόπαιόν μοι γράφε'.
