	Ἠλλοιωμένος ὅλως ἐκ πνεύματος ἁγίου
	πέφηνας, πάτερ, παμμάκαρ Ἰωάννη.
	Ὅθεν ἐξύφανας ἡμῖν ἱστὸν θεογνωσίας
	δι’ οὗ πᾶς τις τέμνεται καρδίαν
	καὶ πρόσω βαίνει τῆς ἧσπερ ἐκέκτητο ἀχλύος,
	φωταυγούμενος σαῖς δᾳδουχίαις
	εἰς ἔφεσιν γλυκίου παραδείσου πάμπαν,
	οὗπερ πολίτης λῃστὴς νῦν ὑπάρχει
	σὺν σοί, φέριστε, καὶ χορείαις ἁγίων πάντων,
	ὧν ταῖς πρεσβείαις σωθείημεν πάντες.

Translation(s)	You have appeared to be totally changed by the Holy Spirit, most blessed father John. Hence you have woven for us the web of knowledge of God, by which everyone is struck in the heart and overcomes his own former blindness, guided by the brightness of your torch towards the desire of the wholly sweet paradise, of which the robber is now a citizen, together with you, best of men, and with the choirs of all the saints, by whose intercessions may we all be saved.
