Person(s)
Scribe
John Tzetzes (12th c.) - PBW: Ioannes/459/
Palaeographical information Written in the left margin. The scholium is preceded by a signe-de-renvoi, which links it to the wordσ 'πρὸς δὲ' in the main text (Thuc. 5.14.1).
Contextual information The epigram is written next to Thucydides' Histories 5.14.1 in between two other verse scholia by Tzetzes. The small and dense script of these two verses show that they were inserted after the verses preceding and following this poem were written.
