Ἥκω σὲ πάντ' ἄριστε πενθήσων ὅμως,
εἰ (καὶ) πρὸς αὐτὸν τὸν θ(εὸ)ν πάντων ἔβης·
βλέπειν ἄδακρυς, οὐ σθένω γὰρ σὸν τάφον·
ἡμ(ᾶς) δὲ αὐτοὺς (καὶ) πρὸ σοῦ φίλτατέ· μοι
οὓς σαυτὸν εἷλες τὸ κράτιστον κτημάτων·
ἀλλὰ κ(αὶ) κοσμήσων σε ταῖς εὐφημί(αις),
ὅσον χρέους ἅψασθαι ὡς οἷον τέ μοι·
τὸ γὰρ κατ' ἀξίαν σοι, οὐ βροτῶν νόος,
οὐ γλῶσσαι πᾶσαι εἰ συνῆλθον εἰς ἅμα,
συνεισενεγκεῖν οἶμαι δύναιντ' ἂν ὅλως:-
