Palaeographical information Written in red ink. The initial is in golden ink.
Contextual information The epigram precedes the Gospel of John.
The poem is preceded by another epigram and followed by a prose note on John's Gospel.
The verses are identified as 'ἡρῶοι' in the right margin. Another label is written in the same margin in golden ink, vertically written along the two epigrams: ἐπίγραμμα.
