Contextual information As with the whole cycle of the epigrams in this manuscript, each verse of the epigram is followed by a paraphrase: 'Ἑρμηνεία. Γινωσκέτω πᾶς, ὅτι οὐχ ὡς ὁ Ματθαῖος οὕτως καὶ ὁ Μάρκος ἔγραψε τὸ εὐαγγέλιον etc.' (Hajdú (2012:271)). The epigram is followed by 2 epigrams, each on one of the remaining evangelists.
