Comment Nelson (1991: 93): 'However, a number of folios have been removed from the beginning of the manuscript, including the first two quires of Matthew and whatever front matter was once present'. Based on the analysis of other manuscripts related to the scribe Theodoros Hagiopetrites, Nelson suggests that the missing passages should have included a typical verse preface to the Gospel of Matthew, incipit Ματθαίου τόδε τοὖργον, ἀριστοπόνοιο τελώνου.
