στίχοι ἰαμβικοὶ εἰς τὸ ψαλτήριον:-
 
Ἄκουε δα(υὶ)δ τοῦ παρ' ἡμῖν ὀρφέως,
φόρμιγγα κινεῖ μυστικῆς μελωδίας,
σιγᾶν (δὲ) ποιεῖ τῶν παθῶν τὰ θηρία,
ὅταν σφαλεῖσα τοῦ πρέποντος ἡ φύσις,
πρὸς θηριώδεις ἐκτραπῇ δυσφημίας,
ὥσπερ τὸ πν(εῦ)μα τὸν σαοὺλ τὸ συμπνίγον,
δα(υὶ)δ διώκει τῇ βοῇ τῆς κιννύρας,
οὕτως γε καὶ νῦν ἡ φάλαγξ τῶν δαιμόνων,
τὸ ψαλμικὸν μέλπουσιν ἡμῖν πυκτίον,
τῇ σῇ κελεύσει χριστὲ πόῥῥω φευγέτω:
ὠδαῖς ἐν ὕμνοις ψαλμικοῖς τε καὶ κρότοις,
σοὶ προσφέρωμεν αἶνον ὡς θ(ε)ῷ μόνῳ:
