Εἰπὲ ποῦ ἡ χθὲς ἔβη, ἡ δ’ αὔριον εἰπὲ ποῦ ἐστιν;
εἰπὲ δ’ ὅθεν προέβης καὶ ποῦ ὁδοιπορέεις;
καὶ τί μέγα ζώειν σε τὸν αὐτίκα νεκρὸν ἐόντα;

Pro φύμῳ exspectabam saltem φούμῳ. Fors.
Gallavotti (1980: 237) remarks that the epigram "è anonimo nei codici di quella silloge," (i.e. the Silloge Eufemia) "ed è invece attribuito a Marco Mamuna in altra fonte, ossia nell'edizione degli scritti di Thomas Trivisanos".

The epigram also occurs in Par. gr. 1773 and Par. gr. 2720. In these manuscripts it does not function as a book epigram, but is part of the Silloge Eufemia. (cf. Cataldi-Palau (2004: 367-368)).
