Lauxtermann (2003: 355): 'John the Stoudite wrote this dedicatory epigram to accompany another epigram of his, inc. Ναυκρατίου μεγάλου, 6 vv. (ed. AUVRAY, p. LXVI), which he had written in honour of Naukratios. In other words, this is an epigram on an epigram'. |
