Contextual information This the second of three epigrams that follow the title on f. 16v. It is preceded by the epigram inc. 'Τὴν γῆν λιπὼν ἔτεινας ὄμ|μα τοῦ νόου' and followed by the epigram inc. 'ἡ γοῦν μέθεξις τοῦ φάους ὦ τρισ|μάκαρ'. The epigrams are written in continuous prose text, without any clear division between them (cf. Kambylis 1968: 23).
