Ὁ μὲν σολομὼν ἀσματοψαλμογράφος,
ἔφθη προειπὼν γραφικαῖς παροιμίαις· |
Μήπω νικησάτω σε γυναικὸς τέκνον,
ἐπιθυμία, πλὴν ἰδίας, ἀλόγου· |
Καὶ γὰρ γλυκύτι ἐκρέει τ(ῶν) χείλεων·
αὐτῆς τὰ πρῶτα, κἂν δοκεῖ σοι τεκνίον· |
Μέλι γλυκαῖνον οὖσα, καθάπερ ἄλλο,
ἄλλ’ ὕστερον φεῦ, προξενεῖ σοι πικρίαν· |
Πικνοῖς ὀιστοῖς σὸν δαμάζουσα κέαρ·
καὶ ταῦτα γλῶττη σολομώντειος ἔφη·
