	ἔφθη προει\|πὼν γραφικαῖς παροιμίαις,
	μήπω νικησάτω σε \| γυναικὸς τέκνον
	ἐπιθυμία πλὴν ἰδίας ἀλόγου·
	καὶ γὰρ \| γλυκύτ(ης) ἐκρέει τῶν χειλέων,
	αὐτῆς τὰ πρῶτα κἂν δοκεῖ \| σοι τεκνίον,
	μέλι γλυκαῖνον οὖσα καθἄπερ ἄλλο, \|
	ἀλλ’ ὕστερον φεῦ προξενεῖ σοι πικρί(αν)·
	πικνοῖς ὀϊστοῖς \| σὸν δαμάζουσα κέαρ·
	καὶ ταῦτα γλῶττι σολομών\|\|τειος ἔφη·
	ἄθρει θεατὰ τοιγὰρ οὖν τὴν της βί\|βλου,
	ἐρωτικὴν πλακεῖσαν ὑφὴν καὶ φρᾶσιν, \|
	καὶ νοῦν ἔχουσαν ἀφροδισίων τρόπων,
	ἥτις κα\|θαρῶς ἐστι πρῶτ(η) γλυκύτ(ης),
	ἐσύστερον δ’ αὖ, πικρο\|πυρφόρον βέλος,
