Comment The title is intended for both the epigrams.

Next to the title the scribe wrote: 'χωλίαμβά εἰσι(ν)'.

Halkin (1954: 328): 'Les initiales de ces deux pièces acrostiches ('Γάνυται πᾶς ὁ ἐντυγχάνων τῇ βίβλῳ' and 'Ἰδὼν δὲ τὸν ζῆλον τοῦ ἱεροῦ τούτου' red.) forment les mots suivants: 1) Γρηγορίου βίβλος Ζαχαρίου πατριάρχου, 2) Ἰωάννου μοναχοῦ. Le professeur S. G. Mercati, qui a publié les 47 vers, conjecture avec vraisemblance qu'ils sont tous du même auteur, le moine Jean. Les deux épigrammes font suite au prologue anonyme et précèdent les Dialogues traduits par le pape S. Zacharie'.
