Comment	Unique epigram, specifically composed for Sin. gr. 364, a book commissioned (or given to) Constantine Monomachos and the co-empresses Zoe and Theodora (between 1042 and 1050, see Harlfinger 1983: 23). Inscription running in a frame around a miniature depicting the imperial family (Constantine, Zoe, Theodora), protected by Christ and angels. Strong link to epigram, which perfectly describes what is depicted in the miniature. Another image in Weitzmann (1990: fig. 185).
