Comment | SPATHARAKIS (1976) dates the ms. in 1042, but HARLFINGER (1983: 24) refutes this proposed date: 'Von einer Datierung des Manuskripts auf Sommer 1042 kann daher keine Rede sein. (...) ist es wahrscheinlich, dass unser Manuskript in einem der darauffolgenden Jahre entstanden ist.' Harlfinger claims that the manuscript was an imperial gift to the monastery of Mangana in Constantinople for its inauguration that took place in 1047 (Harlfinger 1983: 24). Weitzmann and Galavaris agree with Harlfinger. |
