Ὦ Παῦλε σοφέ, τῆς οἰκουμένης ῥήτωρ,
λύρα γνωστικὴ μυστουργοῦσα τὰ θεία,
ἄνοιξον κἀμοὶ θύραν εἰς σωτηρίαν,
δίδου μοι πένθος χαροποιὸν λιταῖς σου,
ζηλοῦν σε μέντοι ἱκάνωσον ἐν τάχει
τὸν σὸν φοιτητήν, εἰ γε θέμις καὶ τούτων,
στοργῇ γὰρ τῇ σῇ καὶ μόνον πιεσμονὴν
ξύω τοὺς λόγους σοὺς Θεοφύλακτος τλήμων.
