Comment Written in almost correct dactylic verse.

This poem closely resembles another epigram in honour of Ps.-Dionysius the Areopagite with the following incipit: 'Ἀγγελικῶν γραφίδων ἀμαρύγματα πολλὰ κιχήσας'. It has the same metre, the same length and the same content as this poem.

The epigram also occurs in the 17th-century manuscript Vat. Urb. gr. 5 (f. 205r).

John Scottus Eriugena (9th c.) made a Latin translation of this book epigram, which accompanies his translation of the Corpus Dionysiacum in several manuscripts (cf. De Groot (2021: 345)).
