Palaeographical information | Written in the right margin. The scholium is preceded by a signe-de-renvoi, which links it to the word 'ἰωνίου' in the main text (Thuc. 2.97.5), which was corrected into 'ἰονίου' supra lineam by an earlier corrector. |
Contextual information | The verse is written next to Thucydides' Histories 2.97.5. Given the syntactic ambiguity of the expression, Tzetzes added two verses immediately below this poem, rephrasing the same message more clearly. |
