	Τὸν ἐκ τελώνου θαύμασον θεηγόρο(ν)·
	εὐαγγελιστὴν πρῶτον ἐκλελεγμένο(ν)·
	ὀλέθριον λειπόντα κέρδος χρημάτ(ων)·
	καὶ ζῶντα κερδάναντα τὸν θ(εὸ)ν λόγον·
	ἔθνη μαθητεύσαντα πάντα (καὶ) κόσμο(ν)·
	καλῶς τελωνήσαντα (καὶ) σωτηρίως·
	Ματθαῖος οὗτος ὃς διδάσκων συγγράφω(ν)·
	ὡς ἐν σαγήνη τῆ θεοπλόκω βίβλω·
	πλέκων τὰ θεῖα τοῦ κενωθέντος λόγου·
	καὶ σάρκα προσλαβόντος ἐκ τῆς παρθ(έ)νου·
	καὶ ζῶντι καὶ τρέφοντι τὰς ψυχὰς λόγω·
	ζωγρεῖ πρὸς εὐσέβειαν ἀν(θρώπ)ων γένος:~
