Contextual information The title refers to this epigram and another one that precedes it (inc. Ὦ μάκαρ ἀμβροσίῃσι συνέστιε φίλτατε μούσαις). This pair of poems follows in the manuscript a note on Callimachus' genealogy and is introduced by these words: 'εὕρονται δὲ καί τινα ἐπιγράμματα εἰς τὸν πρῶτον καλλίμαχον ἀδέσποτα οὕτως ἔχοντα'.
After the two poems a series of epigrams by Callimachus are written.

Comment De Andrés (1957: 36): 'et duo epigrammata in eodem poeta (Anth. Pal., V, 41, 42)'. However, his reference is wrong. The correct one is to AP VII.42.
