ἡ βίβλος ἥδη τῶν θεοφράστων λόγων,
κιρνᾶ κρατῆρα τοῖς βροτοῖς θεί(ων) λόγων: |
τυφλοὺς σοφίζει καὶ χαρίζεται βλέπειν·
κόρας νοητῶν ὀμμάτ(ων) τ(ῆς) καρδί(ας): |
χωλοὺς ἐγείρει κ(αὶ) δρόμ(ον) σ(ωτη)ρί(ας)·
τρέχειν διδάσκει κ(αὶ) καταλύειν ἄνω, |
οὗ δεῖ μάλιστα προστρέχειν ἐχεφρόνως:
ἐπεὶ δὲ ταῦτα προξενεῖ τ(οῖς) ἐν βίῳ |
πειθώμεθα πρὶν ἡκέναι πικρ(ὸν) τέλος·
χωρίζον ἡμᾶς κοσμικῆς ξυναυλί(ας): |
εἰς πῦρ προπέμπον ὢ μεγίστης ζημίας
ψυχὴν γ(ὰρ) οἴμοι ζημιούμεθα φίλοι:-
