Θεῖον γινώσκω καὶ λέγω σε καὶ γράφω·
Θεοῦ γὰρ οὐδὲν χωρὶς εἴρηκας, πάτερ,
ἔνοικον αὐτόν, ὡς ἔδειξας, εἰσφέρων,
εὔφωνος ὡς ἔμψυχος οἶκος τυγχάνων·
τῷ Διονυσίῳ σὺ καὶ γράφων ἔρως·
εἰ γὰρ βλέπων βλέψειας, ὡς μείζων χάρις,
τὸ προσλαλεῖν μάλιστα καὶ Θεοῦ δόσις.

Comment According to Kambylis (1968: 22-23), the title that precedes these verses (attributing them to Nicetas) in ms. Paris suppl. gr. 103 does not belong to this epigram, but to the previous epigram, inc. 'ὡς ἄλλον εἰδότες σε θεῖον μωσέα'. He therefore states that these verses are 'ohne Aufschrift' and cannot be attributed to anyone.

The Dionysius mentioned in v. 5 probably refers to pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite.
