	Δέξεο ταῦτα εὐγενέστατε Μάρκε
	λιπομάνε λῶστε σοφώτατε πάντων
	μηχανικὰ τ᾽ Ἀριστοτέλους
	καὶ ἐνεργείας δαιμόνων περιγραφέντα
	καὶ τεθέντα ἐν μελωταῖς προβάτων·
	πρὸς τοῦ σοῦ δούλου καὶ φίλου·
	Ἰωάννου ἱερέως του συμεωνάκη·
	πρωτοπαπά τε χάνδακος κρήτης·
	ἄνευ τινὸς ἐξόδου καὶ κόπου ἡμετέρου·
	πρὸ σοῦ οὐδὲν ἄλλο θέλοντος εἰ μὴ
	τὴν σὴν φιλίαν καὶ ἡμῶν τὸ μεμνῆσθαι.
