Αὐτοῦ Δροσίλλης ἀλλὰ καὶ Χαρικλέους
φυγή, πλάνη, κλύδωνες, ἁρπαγαί, βίαι,
λῃσταί, φυλακαί, πειραταί, λιμαγχόναι,
μέλαθρα δεινὰ καὶ κατεζοφωμένα,
ἐν ἡλίῳ λάμποντι μεστὰ τοῦ σκότους,
κλοιὸς σιδηροῦς ἐσφυρηλατημένος,
χωρισμὸς οἰκτρὸς δυστυχὴς ἑκατέρων,
πλὴν ἀλλὰ καὶ νυμφῶνες ὀψὲ καὶ γάμοι.
