| Comment | The epigram also occurs in other manuscripts: Vat. Ross. 986 (f. 358r), where it does not function as a book epigram; Copenhagen, Fabr. 94 8 (f. 219r), where it was added by a post-1500 hand; and Brussels, Royal Library of Belgium, ms. 15065–66 (f. 1r), written by Jean-Noël Paquot (18th c.), a remark we owe to Michiel Verweij. Sajdak’s text (see “Critical notes”) derives from Par. gr. 2743 (16th c.). |
