Translation(s) Being a pupil of Peter, the rock of Christ, you have shown yourself a teacher as well as a great second Evangelist of the manifold miracles of the Lord. Illuminating the whole world as a light, you have saved entire Egypt from fallacy.
You have suffered a voluntary martyrdom and you have found a blessed end, Mark. Moreover, you have on both grounds freedom of speech with the true Lord. Therefore, may you by your prayers enlighten me, for I have produced your wise book with genuine zeal, and may you show me to be a skillful assistant of the Lord.
