	Ὁ τετραμόρφοις Χερουβὶμ ἐφεδρεύων
	τετράμορφον δέδωκε τὴν νέαν χάριν·
	τὸν Ματθαῖον μὲν ἀνθρώπου θεωρίαν,
	τὸν Μάρκον δὲ λέοντος πάλιν ἰδέαν
	τὸν δ᾽ αὖθις Λουκᾶν ὁμοιότητα μόσχου,
	ἁετοῦ δίκην τὸν υἱὸν Ζεβεδαίου.
	Παράσχου κἀμοὶ τὸν τούτοις προσφυγόντα
	Ἰγνάτιον οἴκτιστον πταισμάτων λύσιν.

Translation(s)	Der über die viergestaltigen Cherubim thront, gab die neue Gnade in vier Gestalten: Matthäus das Aussehen eines Menschen, Markus aber die Gestalt eines Löwen, Lukas wieder gleich einem Kalb, nach Art eines Adlers den Sohn des Zebedaios. Comment	The epigram is also transmitted in ms. Athena EBE 2114, where it has been written down in 1735 by the metropolitan of Tyrnabos.
