Comment |
The date of the manuscript has been debated, but recent scholars tend to date it to the 10th century. D'Aiuto & Sirinian (1999: 316-317) point out that while the handwriting of the book epigrams differs from that of the main text, this is due to deliberate variation from the part of the same scribe.
D'Aiuto & Sirinian (1999: 315-319) make a strong case to relate this manuscript to Paris. gr. 278, and argue (1999: 325-326) that Ignatios is rather the patron than the scribe. |
