Ὡς ταῖς ἐλάφοις καύματος ὥρα πέλει
πηγὴ ποθεινή, ἄκος οὖσα τοῦ θέρους,
οὕτω πέφυκε καὶ γραφεῦσιν ἡδύτης
τὸ τέρμα βίβλου, τοῖσδε τῶν πονουμένων.
