|Comment||Follieri (1957) dates the composition of this poem to the ninth century, on the basis of metrical features of the poem (there is resolution in some verses, and the prosody is correct throughout).
This epigram is also preserved in ms. Rome, Bibl. Vallicelliana E 37 (Martini 71), where it does not function as a book epigram.
