Palaeographical information | Lines 1-27 are written in three columns and lines 46-78 in four columns, to be read horizontally. Lines 28-45 are written on the right side of the central miniature. Due to humidity, parts of verses are no longer readable on the right margin (especially after verse 37) and a larger piece (with small parts of text) has been completely torn off (at verses 38-40). |
Contextual information | The epigram surrounds a portrait, which shows Alexios Apokaukos sitting on a throne with a younger person next to him.
