Date 14th c.
Manuscript VIENNA - Österreichische Nationalbibliothek (ÖNB) - hist. gr. 53 [1301-1350]

Palaeographical information The book epigram is copied on a piece of parchment inserted at the end of a paper manuscript, by a hand different from any other in the manuscript. Bértola (2023): "the parchment could be a piece of the (now lost) manuscript where the verse scholia were originally copied by Ephraim. When ÖNB, Hist. gr. 53 was copied from this manuscript, the piece of parchment might have been cut out from the exemplar and pasted onto the apographon."
Metre(s) Dodecasyllable
Genre(s) Patron-related epigram
Subject(s) Ephraim of Ainos < Thrace (13th c. - 14th c.) - PLP: III.6408
Comment The mention of Ainos in this book epigram further supports the attribution of a cycle of verse scholia in this and other related manuscripts to Ephraim of Ainos.
