Contextual information The epigram is part of a series preceding the Gospel of John. It is followed immediately by another epigram, incipit: 'βροντήεις θεόφωνος ἰωάνν(ης) πανάριστος.'

Comment The title and the beginning of verse 1 are illegible due to the poorly preserved folio. It is possible to assume that the title would read 'ἕτεροι,' while the starting words ('Βροντῆς γόνε') are reconstructed in the relevant Type.
