	σὺ γοῦν ἀκούων γνῶθι τοῦτ' ἀλληγόρως·
	ὄρος γ(ὰρ) ἄτλας λιβύης ἐν ἐσχάτοις·
	οὗ τὴν κορυφὴν ἐκ νεφῶν κεκρυμμέν(ην),
	εἶναι δοκοῦσιν οὐραν(οῖς) συνημμένην·
	ἐντεῦθεν οὖν ἕλλησιν ἡ μυθουργία,
	ἄτλαντα νώτοις εἰς ἀεὶ πόλον φέρ(ειν):
