	Ἐνιστορήσας τοὺς σοφοὺς διδασκάλους
	Καὶ τὸν θεοδώρητον αὐτοῖς συγγράφω:
	Ὡς ἄνδρα θεῖον ὡς διδάσκαλον μέγαν:
	Ὡς ἀκράδαντον ὀρθοδοξίας στύλον·
	Ἂν δ’ ἐκλονήθη μικρὸν ἔκ τινος τύχης:
	Ἄν(θρωπ)ος ἦν ἄν(θρωπ)ε μὴ κατακρίνης:
	Οὐ γὰρ τοσοῦτον δυσσεβὴς ἦν ὁ κλόνος·
	Ὅσον μετεῖχε τῆς ἐριστικῆς βίας:
	Τί γάρ κύριλλον πανταχοῦ νικᾶν ἔδει,
	Καὶ δογματιστὴν ὄντα κ(αὶ) φιλογράφον:
	Ὅμως δὲ τούτο κ(αὶ) διώρθωται πάλιν:
	Τὰ δ’ ἄλλα πάντα τῶν μεγίστων ποιμέν(ων):
	Βλέπων τὸν ἄνδρα μηδενὸς λελειμένον,
	Ἐνταῦθα τούτοις εἰκότως συνεγγράφω:-
