Μέμνησο, Σάβα, του ταπεινοῦ σου τέκνου·
ναὶ πάτερ αἰτῶ, μὴ λελήσῃ τοῦ τέκους·
ἐν σοὶ πρόβατον πεπλανημένον πέλει·
μέθες τὰ λοιπά, τοῦτο συντόνως δίφα·
ἕλκυσον εὐχαῖς ἐξ ἐρημαίων λόφων
ψυχὴν ταπεινήν, πάμπαν ἠπορημένην,
(ἔργον δὲ πάντως τοῦτ᾽ ἀρίστου ποιμένος)
ὅλην βέβηλον, ἐσπιλωμένην ὅλην,
ὅλην ὀδοῦσι τοῦ πλάνου δεδηγμένην·
τὸ θρέμμα σῶσαι χριστομιμήτῳ τρόπῳ
θηρσὶν φονῶσιν εἰς βορὰν εἰλημμένον·
δῶσει Θεὸς σοὶ τὴν χάριν αἰτουμένῳ:‒
