ἄλλως ὑπόθεσις βατράχ(ων) ἀριστοφά(νους):-
 
μαθ(ὼν) παρ᾽ ἡρακλέους διόνυσος τὴν ὁδὸν·
πρὸ(ς) τοὺς κατοιχομ(ένους) πορεύεται | λαβ(ὼν)
τὸ δέρμα καὶ τὸ σκύταλον, ἀνάγειν θέλων
εὐριπίδην· λίμν(ην) τε δι|έβαινε κάτω,
καὶ τ(ῶν) βατράχ(ων) ἀνέκραγεν εὔφημο(ς) χο(ρός).
ἔπειτ(α) μυστ(ῶν) ἐκδοχ(ή). πλούτ(ων) | δ’ ἰδὼν,
ὡς ἡρακλεῖ προσέκρουσε διὰ τὸν κέρβερ(ον).
ὡς δ’ ἀνεφά(νη) τίθεται τραγωδί(ας) | ἀγ(ὼν)
(καὶ) δή στεφανοῦταί αἰσχύλ(ος). τοῦτ(ον) δ’ ἄγει
διόνυσο(ς) εἰς φ(ῶς) οὐχὶ μὰ δί’ εὐριπίδ(ην):-
