Contextual information This epigram follows the colophon which gives the exact date for the completion of the manuscript (1349). It precedes three other epigrams by Makarios, inc. Ἔδωκε λῆξιν δεξιᾶς ἐμῆς πόνω, inc. Σεπτὴ τριὰς ἄναρχε πανσθενεστάτη, and inc. Μακαριου ταῦτεστι φιλαδεφείας.
